金融

The Undergraduate Program in 金融 is one of the largest departments in the Pamplin College of business and offers significant coursework in finance, 分析, 建模, 和会计, all of which are essential for success as a financial professional. 学生 learn fundamental theories underlying core areas of finance, the application of the various theoretical models in decision-making, and various analytical approaches for solving financial problems. 

The program maintains a strong focus on coursework that will help students apply their knowledge to realistic situations. 学生 are given hands-on learning experience through student organizations such as BASIS (Bond And Securities Investing By 学生), SEED (Student-managed Endowment for Educational Development), 和信贷公司. 

In a recent re搜索 ranking conducted by UT Dallas, the department was ranked in the top 100 among universities in the US. The department was also ranked fifth in the nation by Collegechoice.net’s “Best Bachelor’s In 金融 Degree Programs” in 2016. 金融 is the fourth most interviewed major at 弗吉尼亚理工大学.  学生 from the 金融 program have a 95% job placement rate post-graduation and earn a median starting salary of approximately $60,000. 

In addition to taking the University required courses, 大学必修课程, 和金融课程, students majoring in 金融 are also required to choose a 金融 Option.
